This was the most beautiful day ever. Sun and cloud were playing peek-a-boo. Rays were streaming through pine trees and then fog enveloped them in its gray breath. Then it moved revealing bright blue skies. This was a good day for skiing and challenging myself. First a little story. We have two cute cats at home so when Kenny saw Cat's Face run a couple of years ago he had to go on it. It is short but steep, I mean for me, very steep. Last year I tried, skied a few yards, fell and made the rest of it on my butt. Today Kenneth took me again on some 'easy' slopes, some of them actually black. Then I said I wanted to tackle the kitty run, which is blue, again. When I got to it I saw it steeper than any run I did today. And I skied it, slowly but I did! I am not afraid of the CAT anymore. Maybe learning to ski at 50 was not the smartest idea, meaning I should have done it many, many years ago but what I am realizing is that whatever the age I can be strong, I can overcome my fears.
