Not that I don't like hiking. I love it, but I am itching to run more and this was a wonderful trail for running, soft and shady with enough incline to give one a good workout. One good think about hiking though is that I can take tons of pictures.
Today we headed to Purisima Open Space Preserve. Here, in SF Bay Area we have a lot of places to hike, run, ride bikes. I think we could spend years exploring all the trails and never get bored. Over past several days our temperatures hit high numbers and even though they started going down, we craved shade and this trail's description promised redwoods. So off we went and this is what we saw on our 9mile adventure.
Purisima Creek was too puny to soak feet in (as we like doing after each hike) so we hopped drove over the hill to the ocean. Water was freezing but our feet loved it. And of course we took more pictures.
