Happy Naked Hiking Day (PG-13? post)

HAPPY SUMMER TO YOU ALL

Not that long ago there was a naked biking day with a bunch of naked, of course, bikers riding NYC streets. Talk about chaffing. Ouch!
Today we are proudly celebrating a Naked Hiking Day
I am noticing though that those guys are not barefoot. C'mon, what kind of back to nature movement is that?

In case you are wondering, I will not be celebrating. I have a very long list of
excuses reasons: I think I am  way too busy today to go on trails, I also think the sun is too strong and I don't like using sunscreen especially on my butt, also, I can just imagine how ugly tan lines left by a pack are,  and it seems to me that heavy backpack must feel terribly uncomfortable on a bare skin. :)
Maybe next year. Today, the only naked thing I might do in celebration is a long tub soak with a glass of good wine.
Happy Hiking.

BTW, what do you think about naked hiking, biking, or running?

(oh, I was not the lucky photographer here. I stole those pics from BBC.)

Uncomfortable - that is what I think any kind of naked sports must be - except perhaps swimming! I'm with you on the bath and wine - much better, definitely!

Naked swimming, definitely. Today I am hiking in too much poison ivy to go naked!

I think it is not for me! Naked yoga - not that either!

How did I not know about such a day! Thank you for letting me know, but I missed celebrating.
I always worried about chafing with this though...

Not for me or for the poor souls that might be spectators if I participate. I'll spare them that.

Naked swimming, definitely...but I don't think I could naked run without at least a bra on. I do a lot of indoor exercises (videos, yoga, etc) nearly naked. Clothes are too restricting sometimes (except that sport's bra) :)

Yeah, they really can't claim naked with the boots! ; )

I think I'll take my fellow hikers clothed, thanks!

Of course, naked swimming :)

To each their own I guess (freaking hippies...:)

I see that you're celebrating it but not participating in it - is that a form of voyeurism?

Not for me. There is a nudist run somewhat near me but I have never been tempted.

Swimming naked. I could do that. But biking or hiking, No way.

Yeah, first word that comes to mind is chaffing. Yikes!

Very funny! Would I do any of those things naked? No way! Wearing a cute outfit is half the fun. :)

I'm pretty much crushed that I missed this holiday. Why didn't you alert me ahead of time?

Currently kreeping out at the very idea of it all, and purposefully spelling kreepy with a "K", as I often spell krazy with a "k" when being kreeped out by krazy people...

I think that is not for me. I need my technical clothes to feel comfortable.
Happy summer to you too.
Beautiful header.

Now that's just plain weird if you ask me. Who thinks of these things?! I am protesting all of these :-)
