I won't bore you with my "w(hy)tf I can't run" story. Well... there really is no story...
I am hoping you will be my good friends, as you always have been, and help me overcome this slump. What I need is:
- Kick In The Ass!
- words of encouragement
- lectures
- praise for reaching out for help
- yelling for not doing enough
- motivational stories
- stories that will shame me for not doing much
- threats that I will die on Pikes Peak (Jill???)
- anything else you can come up with
- more kicks in the a$$
Thanks

Come on girl....Shift gears!! Lets get revved up!! Pick out a goal.....and lets work towards it. I'm running toward my first 1/2 Marathon. I'm jazzed!!!! After that, I'm doing another one.....After that I'm rowing. What do you want to do?
For me, having something challenging to work towards is motivating!! Maybe it's not even athletics, maybe you want to do a art project, write, travel...whatever it is. Pick something and lets go!! You can do it!! I BELIEVE IN YOU!!
KEEP FOCUSED!!!!
Okay here you go. Fell while trail running yesterday. I can't bend over, can't get out of bed without screaming, have no idea when I can run again. So go run for me!
If I can get up at 4:30 am and run on a nasty cold rainy Oregon morning, (which I did this am) you can run too! I'm sure the weather where you live is way better.
Hi Ewa! Well, I wrote a post this morning on this very topic. It's not an overly sunshiney post, but is very encouraging. Maybe it will speak to you.
As always, I believe in you.
:-) Marion
Pike's Peak is just a couple of months away, no? How are you gonna enjoy the views if your head is spinning and your heart is ready to explode? Get running, lady!!
I have had the grumps recently (you may have read about it) Yes, feel down for a bit but it will feel better very soon. When it seems to get a bit better go straight out for a walk or short run....you will feel better then
HEY! I am 54 & working away with no fat pads in my feet & now a hip flexor craziness - you can do this! Honestly, I don't believe yo - I think you are doing stuff anyway but just not as much as all you do on a regular basis! ;-)
Think of the runners who CAN"T run because they are injured and get out there. It isn't fair that you can but aren't when others are dying to.
Hope this helps.
When I don't feel like running I like to play mind games. I tell myself I'll just run a couple of k and usually once I get out and going I manage more than just a few k. But if I only do a few k that's okay too.
Ewa you love running and running loves you. I hate to see you too not on speaking terms. Just suck it up and tie on your runners and get out there.
Okay. KITA. Or as us guys say - KITN.
You won't bore us with your "I can't run" story. Consequently, If I wrote that I can't run I would bore you :) I have got weight (3 kg)and have lost motivation (this week I ran twice).
Have a nice weekend!
I carry my lunch every day too. And on swimming days I bring my breakfast because I don't eat before it. And if I know I am biking another day I might bring lunches for two days and leave one at work. You get the picture.
I hate to kick a nice person in the ass, but since you asked, I will oblige--shake this slump off and get out there. Pike's Peak isn't something for the ill-prepared, so do what you've got to do!!
And then you can role all that training right into CIM training, too...
I am too far to kick your ass.
Go Ewa!
Maybe a break will be good for you! Sometimes being able to not run can be a good thing.
I'm with Mary run for me too!
I've ran only 3 times in about 2 months, because of my "Runner's Knee". I have a Tri in less than 9 weeks. I CAN'T run more than 1.5 miles w/o pain and my run is 5 miles after a 26 miles bike ride. ACK! I need to run! I want to run, but can't.
There has the guilt trip kicked in yet?
Get out of the house and run for us that can't...Please I'll beg!
